OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for supporting the Commercial Lenders in the loan process for C&I and CRE loans and ensuring loan documentation adheres to loan approval requirements.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Acts as a liaison with Credit Administration, Commercial Loan Administration Assistants, Loan Document Preparation Administration, Loan Processing and Servicing departments, internal and external legal counsel, Construction Administration, Loan Review, Audit, and other departments as required;
  • Ensures timely financial statement collection, customer documentation collection and various other documentation collection as needed;
  • Works closely with the Commercial Lenders to perform the following duties:
    • The timely collection and evaluation of all financial statements from Borrower and Guarantors
    • The timely collection of necessary customer documentation as needed for loan;
    • Reviewing of the commitment letters to ensure accuracy and accordance with loan approval requirements;
    • Reviewing of the loan documents to ensure accuracy and accordance with loan approval requirements;
    • Obtaining closing documents in conjunction with and on behalf of Commercial Lenders;
    • To ensure all loan approval conditions have been met within required time frame;
    • Administering the construction loans, draws and inspections as requested in accordance and in conjunction with the Construction Loan Administration group as needed;
    • Monitoring loan management tracking reports to ensure timely action and escalation as warranted collaboratively with Market Executives, Credit Administration and Loan Operations;
    • Receive and review periodic reporting provided by customers to ensure borrowing base availability, as well as to monitor performance; and,
    • Managing and maintaining collateral requirements including ordering appraisals and environmental reports.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • At least three years of relevant experience in Commercial Lending as an Assistant Administrator and/or Relationship Manager working with moderate to complex credits and documentation;
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships among team members and participate in solving problems and making decisions;
  • Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience, whether oral or written;
  • Ability to actively listen to what others are saying to achieve understanding, sharing information with others and facilitating the open exchange of ideas and information;
  • Ability to establish courses of action for self to accomplish specific goals, develop and use tracking systems for monitoring own work progress, and effectively use resources such as time and information;
  • Ability to make right decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes, practicing good judgment in gray area;
  • Ability to collect and review documentation, assist with gathering loan documents for closings and assist with the administering of construction loan process;
  • Strong analytical, organizational and critical thinking skills; and,
  • Team / detailed-oriented with ability to monitor and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance or related degree; and 
  • Experience working with C&I and CRE lending and Construction Administration.
